Just before cross the bridge to PEI we stopped in Shediac. It’s a small town located really close to the Confederation bridge, the one that links New Brunswick with PEI. Shediac is know as the “Lobster Capital of the World” and you will see why at the city entrance. There’s a “Giant Lobster” sculpture next to the Tourist Information Centre. It’s a nice and inviting place to stop for a little while.
After a Lobster lunch, we started making our way to Prince Edward Island.
Good to know !
- Shediac is quite small, so we recommend passing through the city as we did
- There are many restaurants to stop for Lobster, feel free to use Google Maps to locate the right one for you
- If you are pressed for time, there are places where you can purchase your own Lobster to cook later
- Volunteers are located at the Welcome center and can help guide you through the city
