According to Wikipedia, this ancient site was used for centuries as a fortress by various civilizations. If you’re up for a hike, you can reach it from Argos town.
When we visited in May – 2024, we enjoyed exploring the castle and learning about its history, as highlighted on the informational signs.
Virgin Mary Katakekrymeni-Portokalousa Holy Monastery
The Virgin Mary Katakekrymeni, located on the outskirts of Argos, offers peace and gorgeous views from City of Argos.
